Tou-L

Tou-L records and produces out of Kampala, publicly identifying himself simply as "Tou-L [artist musician], based in Kampala, Uganda." He carries Congolese roots that surface directly in his music — he has released a track called "Pour Mon Pays" ("For My Country") behind the flag of the DRC. His path into the industry ran through production first: rather than one breakout single, Tou-L built a reputation inside Kampala's small Amapiano-production circle by making beats for other artists before establishing his own solo output.

His own catalogue leans Amapiano and Afrobeat-adjacent R&B, carried across visualizer singles like "Okay," "Put It On Me," and "For No Reason," and more traditional cuts like "With You" and "Show Them." As a producer, his credited work is Amapiano-first: fellow Kampala artist Drippie Amini names Tou-L directly as the producer and beatmaker behind his 2021 studio debut "Beehive" and his 2022 Zulu-titled single "Uyangazi Kahle" ("I Belong to You") — a concrete, named production credit that comes from another artist's own account rather than from press copy.

Tou-L came up through the Diavi Pro label, where his 2022–2023-era singles "Show Them" and "Vibes on Vibes" (the latter featuring Swagina) were released — "Show Them" remains his most-viewed video to date. He has since gone independent under his own banner, Yes Baba Music, and reconnected with Swagina in 2026 for the single "Tell Me," a direct follow-through on a collaboration Swagina had already named as upcoming in his own artist questionnaire. Under Yes Baba Music his release pace has picked up through 2025–2026 — "With You" (October 2025), "Okay" (May 2026), and now "Toi Et Moi" (July 10, 2026), which RIA's own release catalog confirms as his most recent output to date. No public writeup of "Toi Et Moi" beyond its title, date, and label has surfaced, so no backstory is invented for it here.
